Beautiful fillets of high quality haddock with the skin removed gently cold smoked over oak in our brick kiln ovens. Carefully monitored by skilled craftsmen the flaky white fish adopts a subtle pale yellow colour, once sufficiently smoked it is removed from the kilns and sealed in a special cooking bag with a knob of butter.
We developed our Easycook Smoked Haddock fillets for the convenience of being able to enjoy delicious Cley Smokehouse Smoked Haddock straight from the freezer to the plate. Just pop onto a baking tray, pop into the oven and remove from the special 'cook-in-bag' some 10 minutes later. The final result however is we have developed the perfect way to cook the fish, during cooking the bag 'inflates' and the fish cooks with an ingenious combination of poaching in melted butter and steam to produce a perfect, slightly salty fish with a subtle smokey flavour and a moist flaky texture. We think, maybe short of a Michelin Star. the best Smoked Haddock you will ever taste.
Individual fillets (approx 160g), supplied fresh (for home freezing if required). Contains no artificial dyes, flavourings, preservatives or anything else that doesn't belong there!
Keep refrigerated (store below 5°C). Generally will keep for 7 days from delivery date (Important: Always refer to use by date on the packet).
Smoked Haddock fillets are suitable for home freezing (must be frozen before use by date). Consume within 3 months of freezing. Can be oven baked straight from frozen.
