Oak Smoked Bloaters
Succulent whole Herring to produce a less salty and less intensely flavoured fish than our Kippers with a slightly gamey flavour.

Cley Smokehouse Bloaters are prepared in the traditional way by cold smoking over oak overnight.

If you like our Kippers you must try our Bloaters!
Make slashes down both flanks of the fish and spread over with softened butter and wrap in foil.

Place in a pre-heated oven (160C) for approximately 15 minutes.
Keep refrigerated (store below 5 degrees C). To enjoy your Bloaters at their best they should be consumed 1-2 days after delivery. Generally will keep for 7 days from delivery date (Important: Always refer to use by date on the packet).

SUitable for home freezing (must be frozen before use by date). Consume within 3 months of freezing. Thoroughly defrost before use.
